What sewage system maintenance do we do?

No matter what sewage system you have, we can look after the maintenance of it. This includes AWTS Maintenance (Aerated Wastewater Treatment Systems) and septic systems with sand filters.

How often should you arrange septic tank maintenance and servicing?

When it comes to septic tank maintenance, every manufacturer has specific guidelines to ensure you meet council bylaws, so always check any paperwork you have been provided and speak with the manufacturer directly. As a general guide however, at a minumum:

  • Aerated systems should be inspected quarterly.

  • Sand filters (secondary treatment for septic systems) should be checked annually.

Reports must also be sent to your local Council following inspections and maintenance.

Why have regular a AWTS maintenance service?

We know that organising regular maintenance for your AWTS can be a pain, but there are a range of reasons as to why it is super important for both you and your family:

  • Keeps your system in good working order, which ensures the safety of you and your family's health.

  • Less chance of breakdowns.

  • Any issues can be located before they become large problems.

  • Your sewage system can last longer if regularly maintained and serviced.

Ultimately, implementing a regular schedule will help lower the risk of nasty and messy sewage system issues, which can be dangerous to the health of you and those around you. Additionally, if it is found your septic tank is in need of repairs or replacement , these can be carried out quickly and efficiently. Give us a call if you'd like to know more.
